WWE Superstar Mandy Rose talks about her NXT move being fruitful to her
Mandy Rose, who recently became the new NXT Women’s Champion, was interviewed on the Fightful podcast (h/t Wrestling News), where she talked about her return to NXT and how it has worked “really well” for her.
Rose mentioned how she got a call and told about helping another talent. They needed a new heel, and she said yes to this assignment. She noted that it was an excellent opportunity for her, which has helped her evolve in the best possible way.
Rose explained that how have to be some changes and how we can add layers to our characters. She said about enjoying her new ruthless side. Lastly, she mentioned that how you need the time and space to change it.
“I got the call, and I didn’t really get much explanation, which is kind of the usual. I didn’t expect anything less. It was one of those things where they want you to help some of the other talent out, need a good heel, and I said, ‘Sure. Why not?’ I live in Florida. It’s not that bad of a commute for me. I kind of just went with it, and obviously, it worked out really well.
“I’m in the process of helping a lot of the other talents and a lot of the other women. In that process, I think I really evolved myself in the best way possible. I kind of felt like I needed a little bit of a revamp or whatever it may be. I think we all go through those moments where our characters have to evolve and change a little bit or find some other layers to your character in a sense. I have, and I’m really enjoying this ruthless side of me. I knew I always had it, but sometimes you have to have the time and the space for it.”
Mandy Rose recently won her first NXT Championship Title
Rose won her first WWE titles this week at the NXT Halloween Havoc after defeating Raquel Gonzalez, and her Toxic team Attraction also got the victory to become the new NXT Tag Team Champion.
It was an intense match as both women went head to head against each other. Both hit their finishing moves but couldn’t get the victory. In the end, Rose managed to get success with little help from Dakota Kai.
