Malcolm Bivens recently came to the Black Announce Table podcast to reveal interesting moments he encountered during his time in WWE.

Bivens also gave credit to Shawn Michaels and William Regal for the advice and feedback they gave him. He would go on to say that the knowledge he got from his discussions with these stalwarts of the business, were priceless. He said all the veterans were willing to see others around them succeed.

From (Johnny) Gargano to Shawn (Michaels) to Triple H, the one thing, among many things, that I love about NXT is that there’s never been a situation where I would say the OGs or veterans, there’s never been a situation where someone has tried to give someone bad advice. Everyone wants to see everyone else succeed. If you succeed, they succeed, and we all succeed.”

Some people didn’t always see it that way. Everyone has been incredibly helpful. Samoa Joe, that was one guy where, when he first showed up in NXT, he would pull me aside and give me feedback after feedback. Little things, that I never thought of. Just the way I looked or how I said one word or putting emphasis on something. That was Joe. It’s one of those things when someone like Joe or Shawn or Regal gives you feedback, it’s for a reason and it’s priceless knowledge. It’s been incredibly helpful and great,” he said. Samoa Joe is a three-time NXT Champion and his only title in the main roster of WWE was the United States Championship. He was released by WWE for a second time on 6th January. He was initially released in April 2021. Joe in his second stint at NXT won the NXT Title for the third time beating Karrion Kross at NXT TakeOver: 36.

He had to relinquish the title soon after as he tested positive for COVID-19.

Joe’s in-ring comeback has been speculated by fans since long

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Joe said:

“Since my departure from WWE, I’ve been consumed with outside work, outside of the wrestling industry. A lot of cool voice over work, been busy with that. As far as my future (in wrestling), I kind of started my road back to the ring in NXT. That road never really stopped, I just kept training.

Being in the PC at the time with a lot of young talent, working with guys who are now…I want to put over some NXT talent. The Creed Brothers are going to be amazing. Solo Sikoa has the family behind him, he’s going to be an amazing cat. I think the world of a lot of NXT 2.0 guys. Young Bron Breakker is going to be amazing. I was (disappointed) I didn’t get to work with him a little bit more before he’s going to make his eventual rise to the top. It’s in the genes. He knows what’s up,”

He would go on saying:

“We’re training. We’re ready. I’m not on paper with anybody, anywhere, we haven’t signed anything. We’re just kind of exploring our options. I’m taking a little time, personally, to be with the family and sure up things home side. We’ll see what the coming months hold, hopefully, it’ll be positive. I’m not really engaged with anybody or exploring that. I’ve been consumed with my other work, which has been nice, we’re now getting back to pro wrestling and seeing where we go from here.”

There are strong rumors of Joe signing for AEW

On being asked if he plans to return to WWE he said or the rumors regarding AEW are true, Joe preferred to sit on the fence. He said:

“I’m open to whatever opportunity. At this point, I’m blessed enough that I get to make decisions and get to work on things outside of wrestling, which is a rarity when you’re this far in and committed to the business. The discussions haven’t happened yet. I’ve got my team working on stuff and when they eventually connect, we’ll see if something gets worked out,”

As for Biden, he has led Diamond Mine to glory as The Creed Brothers won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, earning them an NXT Tag Team Title match in the future.
