Mic skills are a very integral tool in a wrestler’s repertoire. There have been many instances where promising superstars haven’t received a deserving push and were eventually released from the company due to their insipid mic skills.
Lead WWE Journalist for GiveMeSport, Louis Dangoor recently named a few wrestlers who according to him, have the best promos. Paul Heyman was on the list and we know that he isn’t a wrestler by any means but he can make any wrestler look good with his scintillating promos. Ask the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar and he will tell you exactly how good he is. Lesnar was one of the most gifted wrestlers when he came to WWE but he was quite shabby on the mic. Heyman took care of his promos and managed them with aplomb.
Dangoor in his Tweet said that the new recruit of WWE – Cody Rhodes has the best promos in WWE alongside the likes of Paul Heyman, Roman Reigns, and Becky Lynch.
In a reply to this tweet, he added a couple more names to the list, and they were Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins. Well, can’t argue with Kevin Owens’ name as the former Universal champion single-handedly hyped up his rivalry and segment with Stone Cold Steve Austin in the weeks leading to their clash at WrestleMania 38.
Fans were a bit skeptical as far as Lynch and Reigns were concerned. They replied to the tweet by voicing their opinions.
A few more names we think are exceptional on the mic
It’s an interesting topic and we thought we would put in a few more names who could match the stunning list that Dangoor provided.
Currently, Edge tops the list for us. Be it as a face or as a heel, the Rated-R Superstar cuts the finest promos in WWE. When Edge is on the mic, fans take notice as he is intense and he just doesn’t speak with his mouth, his eyes do a lot of the talking.
Alexa Bliss is also right up there. Her acting skills have been praised by the WWE Universe ever since her demented gimmick took over. She has cut some of the spookiest and most thrilling promos during The Fiend’s rivalry with Randy Orton. Even in her “Goddess” gimmick, she was quite adept on the mic, especially as a heel.
