Former WWE Superstar Lana uploads emotional post on Instagram
Lana took to social media to display her love for her old friends after her release from WWE. She was released along with five other Superstars in the first week of June, after the company suffered from budget cuts due to the COVID -19 pandemic.
Lana also thanked Paul Heyman along with her fellow competitiors from the roster – Liv Morgan, Asuka, Naomi amongst others. She said :
“10 swipes wasn’t enough space to put so many of my insane memories of being on Raw & Smackdown & NXT over the past 8 years. The character Lana, was passionate, disciplined, Russian, Ravishing and she loved LOVE. She had lots of ex’s, many weddings & divorces, flags, tanks, CRUSH, Rusev & literally 900 partners.”
She began by showing gratitude towards her husband and TNT Champion Miro for his support. Then, she appreciated Triple H for bringing her to WWE, both as a manager and a singles competitor.
Lana signed a five-year contract with the company in 2019. The devastation of her release has quickly faded away as she looks to return immediately inside the ring. The former Superstar will have to wait out a 90-day no compete clause before signing for any promotion.
Lana’s love for the Women’s division
Lana had a rollercoaster of a ride in the women’s division. She was touted as the underdog in the roster after spending years with her husband Rusev ( Miro in AEW ). She teamed up with various Superstars like Naomi and Natalya and was also part of the Womens Money in the Bank.
The American had special praise for Asuka, who came earlier to arenas to help her practise for her match. Lana formed a special bond with ‘The Glow’ Naomi. In her post, she wrote,
“I will forever go through fire for you. If you want to fight I’ll fight, if you want to dance,
I will dance ! I miss tiktoking our lives away already !”.
Lana will always be remembered for her dedication in WWE – from a storyline as Lashley’s girlfriend to being put through a commentary table by Nia Jax.
