Lacey Evans’ comeback date had been speculated for a long time – there were rumors stating her return on this week’s episode of the blue brand and it was finally the time for the 32-year-old to make her comeback to WWE

Lacey Evans received a decent push during her previous run. She came to the main roster and competed as a heel trying to take the RAW Women’s Championship from Becky Lynch. After a few failed attempts, she was drafted to SmackDown as a part of the 2019 draft.

On SmackDown, she would turn face and compete for the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Bayley but her first title in WWE continued to evade her. After Bayley, she focused her attention on Sasha Banks, who was Bayley’s best friend and tag partner. Banks and Bayley would team up a few times to take out Evans and once it was in front of Evans’ daughter.

The WWE Universe got behind Evans as she beat Banks in a Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match. A few weeks later, Evans attacked Naomi after losing a karaoke contest to the former two-time SmackDown Women’s champion. By virtue of this assault, Evans once again turned heel.

In the 2020 draft, she went back to RAW and started an infamous angle with Ric Flair before she announced her real-life pregnancy in a storyline and took maternity leave before returning on this week’s SmackDown. It was reported that Evans was scheduled to win the RAW Women’s Championship from Asuka in an upcoming pay-per-view until she had to take a break owing to her pregnancy.
