Hulk Hogan reflects on the victory over WWE legend Iron Sheik

WWE did an interview with Hogan back in 2019 where reflected on the victory as the match turned 35 years old. Hogan was quoted as saying,

A night that changed my life 35 years ago, January 23rd, 1984. The crowd was magic that night, this was the first time I wrestled, and everybody stood up. Everybody was screaming the whole time. From that day forward, every time I climbed to the ring, whether King Kong Bundy, Andre or Macho or Viper, the crowd was that intense. It was the greatest day of my life, and that day changed my life forever.”

That night history was made as Hogan became the first person to break out of Sheik’s Camel Clutch submission, and the whole crowd just went berserk. Hogan broke the lock and carried Sheik on his back.
