Find out: Did Io Shirai suffer an injury after her scary fall at NXT Halloween Havoc?
The NXT Halloween Havoc proved to be a truly historic event for the NXT brand with entertaining matches stacked from top to bottom. During the highly anticipated triple threat match for the NXT Women’s championship Io Shirai seemed to have possibly suffered an injury.
Shirai fell from top of a ladder on to another ladder which was set outside the ring. This happened when Indi Hartwell came from behind and pushed the ladder which resulted in the former NXT tag team champion falling outside of the ring. Take a look at that exact moment:
This was indeed a really scary moment and could have turned into something really disturbing. However, it seemed like Shirai is fine and has not suffered any significant injury from her fall.
What did Io Shirai have to say about her fall?
Shirai gave her fans an update on her condition after her scary fall and much to the likeness of the fans she was alright. The former NXT tag team champion took to Twitter where she said:
“I am not dead. I will always keep getting up to do my best. Just sad that the title is not on my waist…”
Shirai made it known that she is fine and will continue to do her best. She also mentioned the fact that she said about losing her title at the NXT Halloween Havoc. The team of Shirai and Zoey Stark faced the Toxic Attraction along with Persia Pirotta and Hartwell in a triple threat match.
The odds were already stacked against the former champions and the Toxic Attraction came out on top to win the NXT Women’s championship.
