Deonna Purrazzo teases relationship status with Steve Maclin after IMPACT debut
Knockouts champion Deonna Purrazzo teased fans about her relationship status with new IMPACT wrestler and boyfriend Steve Maclin.
The couple have been rumoured to be dating since February 2020 and fans were startled after her latest tweet regarding the signing of Maclin:
Deonna began with TNA Impact Wrestling in 2014 and moved to Ring of Honour the following year. She also signed for World Wonder Ring STARDOM and performed for a year. She signed for WWE in 2018 and performed in the developmental brand NXT.
Purrazzo was released by the company due to lack of booking by management.
She made a shock return in May this year returning to IMPACT. She immediately returned to the top beating Jordynne Grace for the Knockouts Championship.
Steve Maclin’s Debut on IMPACT
Maclin is confirmed to have signed for IMPACT Wrestling. A promo to announce his arrival was posted on Twitter: ( h/t IMPACT on Twitter )
The 47-second teaser showed a room with papers lying on a table. The camera then zoomed into a shot of a Jameson bottle. He then fills the glass before resting his legs on the table. The shot then moved upwards as his face was revealed. The text “MACLIN’ was displayed confirming the star’s entry into IMPACT.
Maclin could make his debut on the Road to Slammiversary 2021 and could be booked in a high-octane match from the start.
He was part of WWE for 7 years. as a member of the Forgotten Sons with Jaxson Ryker and Wesley Blake. Maclin eventually made his debut on WWE Smackdown with his teammates, but the move didn’t work out.
IMPACT Wrestling’s acquisition of Maclin could give rise to another angle. The dating duo could certainly bring their off-screen romance to the ring. Fans would be eagerly expecting from the creative team to make it happen.
IMPACT has seen a good rise in viewership ahead of their next PPV Against All Odds 2021. The event will take place next Saturday, headlined by Kenny Omega and Moose who will be facing each other for the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship.
