Former WWE legendary referee Tim White passed away recently at the age of 68.

Tim White was a veteran referee with the company. White spent 25 years of his life with WWE. There he reffed several high-profile matches between several prominent and popular wrestlers. Tim White breathed his last on 19th June 2022 and was wished by several current and former WWE superstars.

On 19th June 2022, WWE released a statement that read, “For more than two decades, Tim White was a dedicated WWE referee and official.” As WWE announced his death, several wrestlers poured in their tributes for White on social media. The statement read, “WWE extends its condolences to White’s family, friends and fans.” It was later revealed that the cause of death was heath issues.

Tim White was born on March 25, 1954. He had the childhood dream of becoming a pro-wrestling referee. He began his career in 1985, as a part-time referee. When Andre the giant died in 1993, White was promoted to the position of a full-time referee.

White has been credited as being the referee of several high-profile matches. Such as the infamous Hell in a Cell match between, The Undertaker and Mankind. The former referee stayed in his position for 11 years, before a shoulder injury put a halt to his career. The injury occurred at a match between, Chris Jericho and Triple H. White had later made his comeback again two years later, but another shoulder injury put a final stop to his career.

After his career ended as a referee, he took up the position of an official and talent agent till 2009. Upon his death, several former and current WWE superstars gave their tribute to the veteran referee. Superstars with the likes of, Stu Bennett, Shawn Michaels, and Big E poured in their tributes for the great man.
