WWE ThunderDome seems to be a hit amongst the fans ahead of SmackDown
WWE sold out its virtual tickets, of sorts, for the upcoming ThunderDome at SmackDown.
This is a new concept being brought up by WWE as a way to engage with their fans during live events and shows.
WWE has been hit hard with the coronavirus pandemic and has hosted shows from the Performance Center and the Full Sail Arena.
However, they have now shifted to the Amway Center for Raw, SmackDown and PPV shows while NXT should continue at Full Sail.
No fans have been allowed to enter any of these arenas with wrestlers acting as the crowd in recent months.
However, WWE ThunderDome is set to change all that and opened up for registrations on Tuesday.
Sold out instantly
While the website for ThunderDome allowed fans to sign up for free, a message was posted just 30 minutes later confirming that the registration process was done.
ThunderDome is expected to feature huge screens and pyrotechnics as WWE brings in a new outlet for fans to enjoy their favourite wrestlers.
This could be like the fan screens we see on other sports such as the ones used in F1 and the NBA. That has been a success and this service certainly got a lot of people excited.
However, many were upset at the fact that they couldn’t sign up for SmackDown. WWE is still taking registrations for other shows and claimed that the next one would be SummerSlam.
Raw should also see the same treatment and it will be interesting to see how things go on Friday. This could be a bit of a game-changer for WWE with their fans getting some time on TV and many were excited just to get in.
Wait so the people who registered before have a 100 percent chance of getting in LETS GO

I don’t even care if fans aren’t physically in the building, as long as they’re in attendance somehow than I’m good

However, several fans also missed out on all this and they vented their frustration with the entire process on Twitter too:

Try fixing the real problems before doing this

this pisses me off because I've been looking for a place to sign up and I couldn't find a link anywhere and now you're telling me that it's already filled? I've been a fan for 35 years if I can't take part in at least one show I will never be able to live it down.
