Drew McIntyre hints at ‘eye for an eye’ match against Dolph Ziggler

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has dropped a hint on what stipulation he will choose for his title defence against Dolph Ziggler on Monday Night Raw.

McIntyre will be defending his title for a second time against Ziggler, having already defeated him at the Extreme Rules PPV a little over a week ago.

The bout in the PPV saw Ziggler set some outlandish stipulations, stacking the odds against McIntyre. However, the Scottish Psychopath overcame it and emerged victorious.

McIntyre gets to pick the stipulations for the rematch

Ziggler, on last week’s Raw, pleaded McIntyre for a rematch. The champion agreed to it, provided he gets to pick the stipulations this time out.

Ever since, there have been a lot of speculations over the type of match and the stipulations that McIntyre will choose for the contest against Ziggler.

Ahead of Monday’s episode of Raw, WWE opened the topic up for discussion for the fans on Twitter, asking them what stipulation they would want to see McIntyre choose. The champion himself responded to the tweet, hinting at the possibility of an ‘eye for an eye’ stipulation.

The bizarre stipulation was used on the Extreme Rules PPV for the fight between Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio. The only way to win the match is to gouge your opponent’s eye out.

Rollins was able to get the win over Mysterio. However, both stars used a ton of weapons in hopes of getting their rival injured. This was a gruesome match and Rollins even threw up after winning the clash.

It would be an understatement to say that fans didn’t take the stipulation all too well. So, it will be very surprising if McIntyre’s title defence against Ziggler goes ahead with the same stipulation.
