Drake Maverick and Killian Dain were in tag team action on NXT this week

Drake Maverick and Killian Dain still don’t see eye to eye on a lot of things despite being a tag team.

Dain has attacked Maverick in the past before they formed a team. However, that didn’t stop Dain for hitting out at the former 205 Live GM was able to stay in WWE after winning a contract but couldn’t win the NXT Cruiserweight title.

He has since teamed up with Dain, even though the larger athlete isn’t keen on the partnership. This week, Dain didn’t want their new entrance theme to be played out.

The pair faced off against former NXT Tag Champions Imperium, and were put to the sword.

However, Ever-Rise, who had taunted Maverick in the past came out and targeted the smaller of the two.

Dain was taking none of it as he destroyed the pair before claiming that only he gets to hit Maverick.

He didn’t attack Maverick this week, and the cruiserweight claimed this was some sort of progress in their relationship:

When the pair teamed up at the start not many expected them to work this well. However, the little and large combination does seem to be working out for the pair and it will be interesting to see what is next for them.

Dain and Maverick need to keep picking up the wins and they could get a title shot in the future. Dain has attacked and destroyed Maverick in the past but this week’s actions seem to suggest things are working out between them.

They still need to get some things in order but the pair are entertaining to watch. WWE has a weird habit of forming random tag teams, but this is one that is actually going pretty well.
