Daniel Bryan rips into Edge and Roman Reigns over matches wrestled ahead of WrestleMania 37

Daniel Bryan might not be headed to WrestleMania 37 for now, but he wasn’t pleased with Edge and Roman Reigns getting the shot too

Things haven’t been great for Daniel Bryan as he first lost to Roman Reigns at the Elimination Chamber 2021 and then lost his chance for another shot on SmackDown.

Winning over Reigns at the Elimination Chamber was tough enough as he had to first survive the chamber match.

Reigns, for his part, had the night off from Elimination Chamber matches, and easily beat up Bryan.

Bryan then had another chance to face Reigns but needed to defeat Jey Uso on SmackDown. However, that fight ended in a double count-out with Reigns attacking Bryan right after the match.

Bryan was on Talking Smack but was visibly upset that Edge and Reigns, who seem set to meet at WrestleMania 37, haven’t wrestled much at all (h/t Comic Book):

“I love Edge, but that (when he pointed at the WrestleMania sign) was when I felt like an absolute failure.

“Because you have two guys in the main event of WrestleMania who have wrestled a total of three matches this year. I went in there, fought with all my heart against five other men… That’s why I felt like a failure because the last year, I’ve put myself on the back burner.

“I’m like, ‘ok, I want more for these new guys, and I failed them. But then came the deepest realization of them all, and it’s that I’ve failed myself.”

Daniel Bryan is fired up to prove his worth

Bryan is one of the top contenders in WWE but he has been on the back burner for a while. However, the former WWE Champion sent a warning to Paul Heyman and Reigns about his future.

Bryan added that he was going to take what was his and even become the version who was starring during the days of CM Punk.

A motivated Bryan is great for WWE and SmackDown and it is to be seen what happens next with him.

He is to face Uso in a Steel Cage match next week and there are some big ramifications if he wins or loses.

This is going to be another blockbuster clash on SmackDown and Reigns could play a role in all this. However, Bryan seems to have hinted what could be the main event of WrestleMania. And unless things change a lot, he will miss out on the grandest show on earth.
