WWE Superstar Dana Brooke apologizes to the fans after a disastrous double-commitment wedding segment on RAW.
This week’s Monday Night saw Dana Brooke marrying Reggie and Tamina marrying Akira Tozawa. After placing the ring on his spouse’s finger, Reggie went to kiss Dana but ended up pinning her for the 24/7 championship in the process.
He was then pinned by Tamina, who was then pinned by Tozawa, but she again was pinned by Brooke. Finally, R-Truth picked up the champion and ran away from the scene.
WWE 24/7 Champion Dana took to Twitter and apologized for the chaos involved in the double commitment segment on RAW. She also mentioned that she is spending quality time with the 24:7 title.
I sincerely apologize to the @wwe universe & @USA_Network for such a disaster of a wedding!!! I am heartbroken
but spending valuable time w/… my 24:7 title!
Brooke is now a 3-time 24/7 champion. She defeated Cedric Alexander back in November 2021 to win the title for the first time.
How did this Dana Brooke and Reggie storyline start on WWE RAW?
The Storyline between Dana Brooke and Reggie is a long time in the making. The former acrobat helped Dana numerous times to retain the 24/7 title. He then asked Brooke out on Valentine’s Day. However, she initially turned him down.
But he then pinned her in revenge to win the title for the third time. After a week, Reggie again lost the title to Dana despite kicking out of a two count twice. The duo began dating again, and Reggie helped Dana retain the title.
The couple got engaged on March 28, which eventually led to the double wedding ceremony on RAW, with R-Truth officiating the program. It will be interesting to see what Brookes will do after this betrayal.
