CM Punk reveals his lessons learnt from WWE

Former WWE Champion CM Punk reveals the two big things that he is thankful for from WWE.

In a recent interview, Punk talks about how the WWE got him a lot of money and how he found his life partner, AJ Lee.

“WWE paid me a lot of money and I met my wife because of my job. Those are the two big takeaways, they did try to take a lot of my money but they were very unsuccessful in that. I just figured it out at an early age, probably because my parents forced me to go to church and stuff and immediately started to realize a lot of stuff was just (expletive) and life is short.

“I was floored when somebody paid me, the first time I ever made money wrestling, I was like well (expletive), I don’t have to have a real job ever again. I was all in. It let me follow my dreams. I’ve been everywhere twice because of wrestling. I met my wife, all the fans bought my house, so I appreciate that,” he said. (h/t Wrestling Perspective Podcast )

She was also booked with Kane and her current husband, CM Punk. The pair met while working together on WWE Raw and began dating. AJ Lee also had a fierce rivalry in singles competition with Paige. She retired from WWE in 2015, a year after CM Punk was fired. According to Punk, McMahon told him about his sacking on his wedding day.

AJ was also part of a famous storyline alongside Dolph Ziggler against the 16-time champion John Cena, which got the highest ratings on WWE SmackDown in recent history.

CM Punk even tried his hand in UFC, having a 0-2 record after which he joined FOX Sports as an analyst.
