WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair opened up on “heat” with former WWE Women’s Superstar Nia Jax
Charlotte Flair commented on her relationship with former WWE Women’s Superstar Nia Jax.
Talks of “heat” between the two spread like wildfire after a controversial match on Monday Night RAW back in August 2021.
The pair traded some hard shots throughout the course of the match, and at one point it looked like it was a boil-over of real-life “heat.”
The strikes exchanged looked real, and there were several botched moves as well, during the match. All in all the match looked pretty unorganized and messy.
In a recent appearance on The Masked Man Show, Flair was asked about “heat” with Jax. She played it down stating that all was well between her and Jax.
Flair was quoted as saying:
“Still best friends. You know what I think happened with Nia and I? You hit your friends harder. I truly believe anytime I’ve been in a match with someone I feel super comfortable with, and that’s really what it was.” [via WrestlingNews.co]
Nia Jax is no longer a part of WWE
On the 4th of November, 2021 Nia Jax along with 17 others were released from the promotion.
Jax, who had been dealing with mental health issues, requested the promotion to grant her time off to get things sorted.
She did get the time off she asked for but it came at the cost of being released from the company.
A couple of months prior to that she had broken up from her alliance with Shayna Baszler.
