WWE planning a change to broke Baron Corbin storyline
SmackDown Superstar Baron Corbin is reportedly set to change his gimmick from the broke storyline after this week’s episode on Friday.
Corbin, a former King of the Ring winner has been appearing on the blue brand with things not going his way in recent times. WWE filmed a lot of content with Corbin in Vegas over the weekend. Corbin noted via Twitter that his luck turned around in Vegas after he made a fortune while gambling.
This gimmick is to bring back a twist in the storyline which has seen him feature with various Superstars. He was present during the contract signing between Roman Reigns and Finn Balor, where he attacked Balor and threw him out of the ring. He was intervened by John Cena, who shoved him into the ringpost to take the contract away.
Earlier on Sunday, PWInsder also reported that there were plans at film scenes with illusionist Criss Angel in Vegas. However, there’s no official word if Corbin filmed with Angel.
In recent weeks, he has also been robbed off and hit with a dart gun, to portray a gimmick including a GoFundMe account which was trending on social media.
Will Corbin live up to his expectations?
Corbin was recently in a storyline with Shinsuke Nakamura, which did not go in the right direction. He lost his crown to the Japanese Superstar and then changed his gimmick. After past experiences in WWE, we have seen Corbin achieve many things in WWE.
This change of character could be the place, where he gets a deserved push after struggling in both rosters. He has come out on top on many occasions and despite his longevity, he seems to go on in WWE, in different characters.
