Bobby Lashley tries to drive a wedge between McIntyre and Sheamus after Drew saved Sheamus from a beating
Reigning WWE Champion, Bobby Lashley has sent a message to challenger Drew McIntyre in an attempt to drive a wedge between him and Sheamus.
Monday’s Raw opened with an in-ring promo from Lashley and MVP, during which it was confirmed that McIntyre will be challenging Lashley for the Championship at WrestleMania 37 next month.
The Miz, however, walked out to try and weasel his way into the title picture again, demanding a match with Lashley at the Showcase of Immortals. Out came McIntyre, vowing to take the current champion, following which the All Mighty attacked him, with The Miz joining in as well.
As Lashley walked up the ramp he was attacked by Sheamus for getting his nose into his business amidst his feud with McIntyre, setting up a match between the two for later on the night.
Lashley ended up beating Sheamus in a hard-hitting match and had his mind set on further attacking the Celtic Warrior, only for McIntyre to make the save by hitting a Claymore Kick on the champion.
Lashley’s message to McIntyre after he saves Sheamus
After the events of Monday Night RAW, Lashley took to Twiiter to kickstart mind games ahead of his impending battle with McIntyre at WrestleMania, in the process trying to drive a wedge between him and Sheamus.
Lashley posted a message insinuating that while McIntyre came to Sheamus’ aid at the time of the need, the same would not be the case if the roles were reversed.
McIntyre and Sheamus have been involved in a hard-hitting feud. Last week’s RAW saw the two battle it out in a No DQ contest with the match ending with a referee stoppage after both superstars were knocked out.
Both men will go at it at WWE Fastlane PPV later this week in what promises to be a belter of a feud blow-off battle. But, Sheamus also inserting himself in the title angle along with McIntyre and Lashley, it remains to be seen how this story progresses.
Irrespective of that, fans can rest assured that they will get their money’s worth watching these big men take on each other inside the ring.
