Big E is currently out of action due to an injury he suffered on an episode of SmackDown prior to WWE’s flagship event of the year, WrestleMania.

Back then, E had shared details of his injury to the fans via a series of videos he posted on his official Twitter account. He had informed that he had broken his neck and detailed that C1 and C6 were fractured. However, he was relieved that no surgery would be required.

The New Day member had also thanked all his well-wishers for supporting him during that phase. Now, E has come up with another update regarding the current status of his injury.

E tweeted that his C1 is not healing in the most desirable way and he would have to spend 4-6 weeks in a brace in the hope of avoiding a fusion. The 36-year-old ensured his fans not to be anxious as he has a tremendous support system.

“For those desirous of an update, my C1 apparently isn’t healing optimally. I’ll spend another 4-6 weeks in a brace in hopes that I can avoid a fusion. But don’t you fret! I’ve got a tremendous support system & what shall be shall be.”

How and when did Big E get injured?

SmackDown Superstar Big E suffered the devastating injury on the March 11 episode of WWE’s blue brand earlier in the year during a tag team match. Big E had teamed up with his friend and fellow New Day member Kofi Kingston to take on the team of Sheamus and Ridge Holland.

During a gruesome spot in the match, Ridge Holland and Big E were involved in a scuffle outside the ring. The former delivered a belly-to-belly suplex on Big E. However, E’s landing was not on point as he could not manage to rotate his body fully so that his back could hit the floor.

Unfortunately, E landed on the top of his head and it made for painful viewing. E was stretchered out of the arena and taken to a hospital where he learned that he had suffered a broken C1 and C6.

Wishes poured in from the WWE Universe and E did not forget to acknowledge them. He is a very strong individual, both physically and mentally. We hope he will come back stronger than ever. Our good wishes are always with Big E.
