Becky Lynch seen preparing for in-ring return at WWE Performance Center
Former Raw and SmackDown women’s champion Becky Lynch is close to returning in the ring after being seen training with NXT Superstar Indi Hartwell.
Lynch has been out of action for over a year and is looking to make her big return at the biggest event in WWE’s calendar – Summerslam. According to a source from PW Insider:
“With Summerslam coming up, as we’ve mentioned, it’s being considered an “all hands on deck” show and certainly Lynch’s return would be a great attraction for the show on a year where it may be considered even bigger than Wrestlemania due to the timing of the country opening up as we get to what is hopefully the latter end of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The WWE Performance Centre usually hosts NXT and young talents in the ring alongside coaches and other executives. It is now being seen as a rehabilitation after a lengthy lay-off. Earlier, Zelina Vega was spotted in the Centre after being released by WWE in 2020.
Lynch took a break from WWE after announcing the pregnancy of her first child with fellow Superstar, Seth Rollins.
Lynch becomes a mother for the first time
The Irish handed over the title to Asuka after announcing her pregnancy in May 2020. Since then, her husband Seth Rollins has been constantly featuring on WWE SmackDown, but will now take time away to be with their child.
Lynch and Rollins got engaged in August 2019 and became the power couple in WWE. They are the first real-life couple to hold their respective WWE titles at the same time and they welcomed their child in December last year, named Roux.
Lynch is also the first woman to main event a WrestleMania and win the WWE Raw and SmackDown titles together. She created history with Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey, as she headlined the women’s revolution.
The WWE Universe will be eagerly awaiting ‘The Man’ and be hoping to reclaim the title she never lost.
