The former SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley has been out of action owing to a torn ACL, however, her in-ring return isn’t far away.
While fans are eagerly waiting for the supremely talented Bayley to return to WWE, the former NXT Women’s Champion named an opponent she would love to face this year.
The name of the opponent was none other than former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Candice LeRae. Candice is on maternity leave since August 2021. It is expected that the 36-year-old will return later this year to WWE.
Candice worked on the NXT roster before taking the leave. It would be interesting to see if they end up having the match. We have seen superstars from the main roster like Dolph Ziggler and Natalya hopping on WWE’s developmental brand to take on talented wrestlers.
Bayley might go onto NXT to have the feud with Candice or the latter might be drafted on the main roster to have the match against the first WWE Women’s Grand Slam Champion.
Candice LeRae’s accomplishments outside WWE
“The poison Pixie” Candice LeRae, who is married to fellow professional wrestler Johnny Gargano, had won many championships on other promotions before making her televised in-ring debut in WWE in 2017.
