Shotzi Blackheart reacts to Twitter after Baron Corbin receives bad blow on WWE SmackDown
WWE SmackDown Superstar Shotzi Blackheart is the latest to make things worse for Baron Corbin after his sad financial situation.
Shotzi took to Twitter after WWE SmackDown to apologise to Corbin for sending a tank dart into Corbin’s private regions. Corbin was evidently hurt and laid down on the ground.
Blackheart has had a stellar debut to SmackDown notching up two wins against Natalya and Tamina, the champions of the division. If this is the beginning for her, she is sure to become a tag team champion in the future. She is also a brilliant performer and will be an asset in the singles division.
Corbin, meanwhile, explained his financial situation on SmackDown after he asked for a donation on his GoFundMe account. He was quoted saying: (h/t Wrestling Inc)
“Now, at the end of the month, you have $60,000 in bills, you have taxes, and you try to put a little bit in investments,” Corbin said. “I bought into Bitcoin when it was $62,000 a share and now it’s at $30,000, and I borrowed some money to buy that. All of a sudden, all these bills catch up. Then I lose the crown, right? With the crown came that money.”
This is apparently a part of a face turn for Corbin, who has spent the majority of his career as a heel.
Will Baron Corbin succeed as a face?
Corbin, has been the major heel in the company ever since his debut. His highest point has to be winning the King of the Ring tournament in 2019. He has also feuded with the likes of Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
The WWE fans always returned a sour and bitter reaction to Corbin, which he thrived on. The newfound character change may not be well received, as it could deteriorate all the work put in by Corbin in his career. The move is a bold one made by the WWE creative team, who rate him highly.
We will see in the coming weeks as to the character development of Corbin as a face on SmackDown.
