WWE 2K22: All we know about the release date, roster, features and more

published

WWE 2K22 is the upcoming game of the company, launched by 2K Games in association with WWE and here is all about the release date, roster, features and more

The game is highly anticipated after WWE 2K20 faced significant launch issues, while a cancellation of the WWE 2K21 release forced the end of last year’s launch.

WWE had a disaster on their hands after the last edition of the game, WWE 2K20. 2K decided to hand over the development to Visual Concepts from Yukes, who had developed most of the games. This year around, with the returning legends and the acquisitions, it makes for a good roster for the game.

A new Executive Producer has been hired to lead the WWE 2K development at Visual Concepts named Patrick Gilmore.

WWE that comes out regularly for PCs and consoles, and WWE 2K22 is expected to continue the trend. With the PS5 release, it is uncertain if the game will be released for the next-gen console.

WWE 2K22 release date

The series is set to make a return later in 2021. WWE 2K22 is barreling towards a potential release date in a few months, and the anticipation of fans is building up.

While an official WWE 2K22 release date isn’t announced, the timing of previous indications could perhaps provide us an estimate.

WWE 2K has almost exclusively launched the game in October. The game also acts as a sponsor in the PPVs, so a timeline of September to October could very well be the date of release.

The official WWE 2K22 reveal trailer arrived on night one of WrestleMania 37 on April 10, 2021.
