Absolutely, they should! Wolves have enjoyed a stellar season in the Premier League, their first year since achieving promotion to the top-flight in 2018. Nuno Espirito Santo has done a fantastic job at Molineux, guiding the Wanderers to Europe in his first season as a manager in the Premier League.

But the big test for Wolves will be next season, their second in the top-flight, which has always been a tough challenge for teams to maintain their Premier League status. Thus, should sign a few more players to ensure that the club has the resources to deal with the pressure of playing in Europe next season.

The signing of Raul Jimenez on a permanent deal showed ambition from the Midlands outfit but, they need more firepower if Santo’s team are to challenge the ‘Big Six’ next season. One player that could take the Midlands team to a different level is Moussa Marega.

Pacey, strong and powerful, Marega possesses the qualities to thrive in the Premier League. The Malian is a very good finisher in front of goal and also has the knack of creating chances for his teammates. The 28-year-old possesses electric pace and dribbling skills and he uses both to brilliant effect by taking defenders on.

Due to his burly frame, Marega is always a threat in the opposition box from set-pieces. He uses his strength and power to hold up the play and bring his teammates into the game. A handful in the box, the Porto ace will not only add quality to the Wolves’ attacking ranks, but also complement the likes of Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota.

Verdict

Marega’s release clause is €40 million and Wolves have the financial clout to lure him away to the Molineux. All in all, the Malian’s signing would represent a big statement from Wolves ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
