Bournemouth Opinion: Why the Cherries should sign Luciano Narsingh?

According to the Sun, Everton are interested in making a £20million move for Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser in the summer.

Ryan Fraser, 25, has been one of the star performers for Bournemouth this season. The Scotsman has contributed with 6 goals and 10 assists from 30 appearances in the league this term, with Eden Hazard being the only player to have supplied more assists. Hence, it is no surprise why he has attracted interest from Everton.

The same report, however, claims Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe wants Fraser to commit his future at the Vitality by signing on a new £100,000-a-week deal but talks over a fresh contract between the player and the club have so far failed to materialise.

Fraser’s failure to sign a new deal so far coupled with Everton’s interest should worry Howe, given how important the Scottish attacker has been for Bournemouth over the last couple of years.

Thus, it’ll be wise on Howe’s part to start plotting potential replacements from now onwards. In any case if Fraser leaves the club, the Bournemouth manager will need a player to fill in the big boots of the 25-year-old.

Keeping everything in mind, Howe should make a summer swoop for Swansea City outcast Luciano Narsingh.

Luciano Narsingh, 28, joined Swansea City from PSV Eindhoven in January 2017 but for some reason the move hasn’t worked for both the parties. In fact, the Dutch speedster has played just once in the Championship this season. Failure to impress manager Graham Potter has cost him dearly and come summer, an exit from the Liberty Stadium looks very likely.

Bournemouth should hand Narsingh a lifeline in the Premier League. Even though the 28-year-old failed to take the Premier League by storm, there were always flashes of his quality with and without the ball. The Dutchman’s career has stagnated of late and a move away from Swansea will be the best option for him.

Under the watchful eyes of Howe, Narsingh would be able to reignite his career. The former PSV Eindhoven man in return will bring a lot of pace, energy, intensity and unpredictability to the Cherries attack.

A fast, agile, athletic and strong attacker, the 28-year-old is a winger by trade but he is more than capable of playing as a secondary striker and also as a false 9.

The Dutchman’s strengths lie in his pace, dribbling skills, acceleration and intelligent movement, whilst he is also capable of tormenting defences with his physicality and ability to change directions quickly.

Conclusion

All in all, not only will Narsingh add quality to the squad but also competition for places within the Bournemouth squad.

The 28-year-old winger’s presence will undoubtedly make Bournemouth a more formidable attacking force, and that said, Howe should make the Netherlands international one of his priorities this summer.
