Will Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz be a boxing match or an MMA fight? Nate Diaz and Jake Paul have finally had a face-to-face meet-up. On August 5, Paul and Diaz will square off in an eight-round bout of boxing. Inside the American Airlines Centre in Dallas, Texas, the two will trade leather.
Even though it seemed like the two were at odds, their first press conference to advertise their summer matchup went smoothly. Small verbal barbs were exchanged between the two, with Diaz appearing uninterested in the conversation.
The Stockton native and ‘The Problem Child’ stared each other down after he emerged from the loo. The two were rather calm during the face-off, with only a little mild arm pushing.
This is Diaz’s first professional boxing contest. He recently defeated Tony Ferguson via submission in a match that served as the final contest of his UFC contract. Diaz has stated his intention to someday return to the UFC.
Paul’s battle in this conflict is crucial. This year, when Tommy Fury defeated him in a split decision, he suffered the first defeat of his professional boxing career. Paul claimed during the press conference that the majority of his circle had stood by him following the loss.

Backstage at the Paul and Anderson Silva event in October, the former UFC fighter got into a fight with a member of Paul’s team. Because of this, Paul remarked that Diaz was “acting like a b—h.”
“Everyone wants that fight,” he told the media. “In the hallway, he attempted to fight people. Nate quit engaging in gratuitous combat. Let’s perform it in a ring. I’m aware that you’re a touch slow, but don’t worry; we can still have that fight.”
When sharing a video of a kind exchange with Jake and Logan’s father in January, Diaz referred to the Pauls as a “s—t head family” and contrasted it with disparaging remarks the senior Paul had made.
