Predicted Arsenal XI to face Huddersfield in the Premier League

Arsenal suffered their 6th defeat of the season on Sunday at the hands of champions Manchester City. The Gunners were beaten 3-1, thanks to a hat-trick by Sergio Aguero. Laurent Koscielny found the net for Arsenal in the first half.

The Gunners failed to register a single shot on target in the second half and Unai Emery’s side will be looking to bounce back against basement side Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Team news

Arsenal have a long injury list with the likes of Rob Holding, Danny Welbeck and Hector Bellerin out for the rest of the season. Defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos is set to miss the weekend’s clash due to an ankle injury suffered in Arsenal’s FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.

Fellow centre-back Shkodran Mustafi is also unlikely to feature due to a back injury and Ainsley Maitland Niles is also a major doubt. Granit Xhaka is also ruled out of the game due to a groin problem. The good news for Emery is that Henrik Mkhitaryan is back from injury and will be available.

Nacho Monreal (CB)

The Spaniard is set to continue out of position on the left side of central defence due to Mustafi and Sokratis being injured.

Sead Kolasinac (LB)

The Bosnian machine has been one of Arsenal’s best players this season and has made the left-back position his own.

Lucas Torreira (CM)

The Uruguayan has been one of the signings of the season so far for Arsenal and his tenacity coupled with his ability to win the ball back makes him one of the first names on the team sheet.

Matteo Guendouzi (CM)

The youngster has been a sensation since his move from the French second division. His calmness and composure along with his exceptional ability on the ball has made him a regular starter.

The former Dortmund man is in fine form this season and is Arsenal’s top goal scorer with 15 goals so far in the Premier League. Aubameyang is 1 goal behind top scorer Mo Salah and the 29-year-old will look to overtake the Egyptian in the race for the golden boot.
