Why Wolves should keep hold of Adama Traore amidst interest
According to Daily Mail, Barcelona are considering a move to bring Wolves star Adama Traore back to Catalonia in the summer.
The report suggests that Traore is not only wanted by the Catalan giants but also by many of Europe’s elite teams. However, he has a contract until 2023 at the Molineux.
Barcelona need a forward after Ousmane Dembele injured his hamstring yet again during his return to training. Furthermore, Luiz Suarez’s knee surgery will keep him out as well.
And therefore, it makes sense for the La Liga champions to bring their academy graduate back to the club.
Meanwhile, Wolves have performed well in the league and are also in contention for the Europa League trophy. Nuno Espirito Santo has taken the team to greater heights since taking charge in 2017.

Traore, 24, who came through the La Masia academy, joined Aston Villa in the summer of 2015. He missed half of his debut season with a metatarsal fracture and after featuring in just 12 games for the Villans, he switched to Middlesbrough. After two years with Boro, Wolves acquired hi services.
He became a regular under Nuno and has established himself as a dangerous winger. In 36 games across all competitions this season, Traore has found the back of the net 5 times while providing 10 assists.
His performances have drastically transformed and his stats are proof of his improvement. According to Whoscored, the Spanish youth international has registered an average of 1.3 shots, 1.4 key passes and 5.5 dribbles per game this campaign. Last year, his numbers were just 0.7 shots, 0.6 key passes and 2.2 dribbles in the league.
With 7 league assists to his name, Traore is the club’s top assist-provider this season. He has been immense for the team’s attack and has the ability to take on defenders on his own.
The 24-year-old is capable of playing on the right side of the midfield as well. Potentially losing him to Barcelona in the summer would leave Nuno with a huge void to fill.
