Jake Atlas was one of the rising stars on WWE NXT before his release but why was he arrested in May 2022?

Former WWE star Jake Atlas made the news recently for getting arrested after a heated altercation with his partner.

Wrestling Inc (h/t PWInsider) claims that Atlas is also being charged with domestic battery. The report claims that on May 23 in Orlando, police responded to reports of domestic violence at the former WWE star’s home.

Atlas was drinking at a restaurant and asked his partner to pick him up the previous night. The former WWE star then asked his partner to stay and drink with his friends.

Atlas then wanted to go to another friend’s house to get intimate but was upset when his partner was giving more attention to someone else.

Atlas then tried to attack his partner but a witness came out to stop all this. The former WWE star was then asked to sleep it off at his home but Atlas followed his partner out of the apartment.

Atlas seemed to have scratched and torn the shirt of his partner and then later refused to leave the apartment which he shared with his partner.

This is where police were called in. Atlas was given the chance to share his side of the story but kept on calling out his partner. The police then arrested Atlas for possibly being the aggressor.

Atlas then signed a no-contact order which means he has to stay at least 500 feet away from the victim. He will appear in the Orange County Court on 28 June.

Jake Atlas suffers bad luck after AEW signing

Atlas was released by WWE on August 6, 2021. He was one of the rising stars on WWE NXT but never won a title there.

Atlas then retired from professional wrestling bringing up mental health as a reason. However, he returned to action and featured on AEW Dark.

Tony Atlas then signed the rising star on January 4, 2022. However, bad luck was to follow when he made his television debut as he picked up an ACL injury on AEW Rampage and has been out ever since.
