Lee doesn’t have Russian roots or even any link with the powerhouse nation and she is a true American.

Her Eastern European looks actually gave her the nickname. A coach gave her the KGB name due to her resembling a Russian (h/t Sherdog).

There is more to her KGB name too as Lee has taken to it extremely well.

During a Muay Thai World Championship, a Russian coach came up to her since she was carrying the initials “KGB” on her trunk.

She later won the title and several Russian athletes took pictures with the 30-year-old (h/t Sherdog).
