Huddersfield enjoyed a superb debut campaign in the Premier League, finishing in 16th place, which keeps them in the league for another season. David Wagner and his men were touted as relegation favourites but they defied all odds and overcame their obstacles. Huddersfield ensured they made their presence felt by taking down a number of big teams in the league this season.

Now that Wagner and his men will be playing in the big league next season, he will be aiming to make a few signings before the campaign kicks off. Huddersfield, along with Swansea City scored the joint least goals in the league, which stands at 28.

This means that Wagner’s top priority would be to strengthen the attack this summer. Striker Steve Mounie and Laurent Depoitre both seemed to be very inconsistent in goal and Wagner is going to need reinforcements.

One such player that has been linked with the club is Belgian attacking midfielder Anthony Limbombe. The 23-year-old is reportedly set to sign a deal worth £11million, which would see him join the Terriers. The player is certainly an unknown quantity in the world of football right now but the youngster could prove to be a steal at that price.

The midfielder joined Club Brugge in 2016, making a total of 64 appearances. Though the 23-year-old has been at the club for two years, it was only this season that he came to prominence. The Belgian winger helped Club Brugge win the Belgian league title in May.

He scored 6 goals and set up 7 more in 39 appearances. His efforts have led to a number of clubs tracking him over the summer. Limbombe won his first Belgian cap in a 4-0 friendly win over Saudi Arabia in March. He can play as a striker and also as a left-winger.

A number of other teams like Southampton and Lyon are said to be chasing the player as well but Huddersfield have reportedly gained the edge over them. A deal is expected to be completed soon and it will prove to be a massive one for the Terries.

Limbombe has shown immense potential at the age of 23 and the striker is widely expected to turn into a deadly finisher. The youngster has the ability to come to the Premier League and take it by storm. David Wagner must sign the Belgian attacker at all costs if Huddersfield are to make a strong come back this season.
