Why Burnley should not let go of Sean Dyche
According to The Sun, Burnley manager Sean Dyche is under the radar of Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
The 48-year-old Dyche was appointed as the manager of Burnley back in October 2012 and has since performed miracles at Turf Moor. The Clarets under Dyche are currently 10th in the league table before play got suspended due to the coronavirus crisis.
With the financial crunch due to the virus affecting a lot of clubs, including Burnley, the club is running low on funds.
This has sparked interest from rival English clubs like Villa and Palace, who seem to be impressed by Dyche’s work at Turf Moor.
Burnley safe with Dyche around
Dyche is a crowd favourite at Turf Moor, having guided Burnley to two Premier League promotions in three seasons. Dyche, who took over the reins at Burnley following the departure of former boss Eddie Howe, has been instrumental in the club’s survival in the top-flight.
Dyche in his second season at Burnley guided them to a second-place finish that saw the club earn Premier League promotion after a four-year absence. However, Burnley’s spell in the top-flight lasted a single season as they were once again relegated to the Championship.
This did not stop Dyche, as he led them to a top of the table finish in the Championship the following season. With promotion to the Premier League sealed once again, Dyche made sure that Burnley remained in the Premier League. In their first season back in the top-flight, Burnley finished 16th in the league table.
However, what followed was even extraordinary. Dyche led Burnley to an impressive 7th-place finish in the 2017-18 season that saw them earn Europa League qualification. This was their first in over half a century and also the best finish in the top-flight since a 6th-place finish in 1974.
Despite not being one of the top clubs in the Premier League, Dyche’s brilliance in helping Burnley to a top-10 finish showed some real character. With funds substantially lower than some of their top-flight rivals, Dyche has still managed to keep the club afloat in the Premier League.
Thus, Burnley should be a little precarious and ward off interest from other sides by keeping hold of their manager.

Its been more than seven years since Dyche arrived at Turf Moor and the club has only had more gains than losses. During this time, he has helped them to two Premier League promotions and a Europa League qualification, making him a worthy candidate to steer them forward.
