According to a report by The Sun, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster this summer. Over the last year or so, numerous promising stars have emerged from the Merseysiders’ academy.
The best example would be Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has made quite a name for himself in the Premier League. And Brewster is also regarded as one of the most promising young players at Liverpool.
However, the 18-year-old is yet to sign a new contract with the club which has led to speculation about his future. Born in 2000 in Dagenham, United Kingdom, Brewster has something in common with the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Dominic Solanke. Quite like the other two, the youngster was a part of Chelsea’s youth academy prior to joining Liverpool. In hindsight, Brewster made a smart move by leaving the club since staying back would have meant becoming a part of Chelsea’s infamous loan system.
Hence, he joined Liverpool in 2015 and became an important part of the U18 squad. His rise was nothing short of meteoric as the teenager booked a spot in the club’s U23 side at the tender age of 16. Despite his heroics, it is surprising to learn that Liverpool are yet to offer him a new contract.
