Wagner is a second-generation WWE superstar and the son of former pro wrestling veteran Wayne Bloom. Let us know more about this NXT 2.0 Superstar. 

Who is Von Wagner?

Bloom is a part of a famous WWE tag team of the 90s called The Beverly Brothers. He was also a part of The Minnesota Wrecking Crew.

He also played college football at the University of Central Florida and as a tight end for the UFC Knights team from 2012-2016.

WWE signed Wagner in March 2019. It was his first signing ever with any promotion. He trained his way to NXT 2.0. Made his in-ring debut during a May 3 house show, teaming with fellow recruit Denzel Dejournette in tag team action. 

Bloom has competed earlier in RAW and SmackDown and even against Sheamus. During the second SmackDown episode of April 2020. It was a good contest between the two. 

How good is Cal Bloom, aka Von Wagner?

Wagner is one of the talents considered a future main-event talent by WWE Chairmen Vince McMahon. He is an up-and-coming talent.

Von has been seen as a future WrestleMania main eventer partly due to his resemblance to young Edge. McMahon is very impressed with his performance and really likes this young star. 

According to WrestlingNews.co management is pleased with Wagner’s NXT 2.0 debut, where he replaced Kyle O’Reilly in the main event.

“Vince sees him as a future WrestleMania main eventer. That should tell you everything about his future here.”

Since his appearance on SmackDown in 2020, he has been a hit with Vince McMahon ever since. He is more likely to get a significant push on NXT since it’s a show with a vision to push young and more considerable talent on the front. 

Wagner is among those talents comprising Bron Breakker, B-Fab, etc., who have showcased their skills on the show.
