Cameron Grimes is the current NXT North American Champion and he won the title in a ladder match at NXT Stand & Deliver last weekend.
Cameron Grimes is a babyface character on NXT 2.0 and receives the loudest pops from the crowd wherever and whenever he features. Grimes also possesses great mic skills that can captivate the WWE Universe.
Trevor Lee Caddell is just 28 and has a bright future ahead of him. He has been trained by The Hardy Boyz, Matt, and Jeff Hardy along with Jeff Rudd. Grimes signed a WWE contract back in 2019. He started working at the WWE Performance Center. It didn’t take him much time to appear in the WWE Live events in the Florida area. Grimes competed in the NXT Breakout Tournament whose winner would get an opportunity to challenge for any title on NXT. He defeated the likes of Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and Bronson Reed in the first couple of rounds before losing to Jordan Myles in the final round.
Grimes had an interesting feud with Kushida. This happened in the later part of 2019. After this, Grimes faced Keith Lee for the NXT North American Championship but couldn’t get the W.
He has some big wins against the former and current WWE United States champions Damien Priest and Finn Balor. Grimes also had a long-standing feud with Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase. They later turned friends until DiBiase handed him a fake Million Dollar Title and by the time Grimes realized it wasn’t real, DiBiase already left in his limousine. However, both of them shared a laugh to end the segment.
What’s next for Cameron Grimes?
Cameron Grimes appeared on NXT 2.0 this week and spoke about how he worked very hard to fulfill his father’s dream that his son could become a top WWE Superstar.
Solo Sikoa appeared and congratulated him on the win. Sikoa challenged him to a match for the NXT North American Championship.
Grimes accepted the challenge. We didn’t get a confirmed date for when the match would take place. However, it’s a certainty that whenever these two gifted competitors will face each other in a match, they will fascinate the WWE Universe.
