Rose Namajunas and Pat Barry are one of the MMA power couples but what is the age difference between them?

Rose Namajunas is a former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion and is one of the biggest names in the promotion.

The 31-year-old has beaten some of the biggest women fighters in the UFC, but there are some questions about her relationship with her coach Pat Barry.

Barry is also the fiance of ‘Thug Rose.’ Barry is a former UFC and Glory Heavyweight and the age difference between them is 13 years.

The current UFC star also spoke about meeting her partner during an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast. She shared some startling details then when she confirmed that she met her future partner in a gym when she was just 14 (h/t Calfkicker).

Rose did confirm that she left the gym and came back when she was 17. However, it is unclear if Barry and Namajunas hit it off straight away when they first met.

The 13-year age difference between Namajunas and Barry hasn’t really been brought up to the pair, but they seem to be going really strong with the coach being in the former UFC Champion’s corner in all her fights.

Is Rose Namajunas looking to pick up another belt?

Rose Namajunas is coming off the back of a disappointing performance against Carla Esparza at UFC 274. The defending champion lost the Strawweight title via a split decision and has not fought since May 2022.

However, Namajunas seems to have other plans on her mind. She has moved up a weight class and will face Manon Fiorot this weekend in Paris, France.

The move up to Flyweight will be Rose’s debut in the division, and a win could see her stake a claim for a title shot.

Fiorot, who will be fighting in front of her home crowd, is undefeated in the UFC. The French star is on a 10-fight winning streak and is ranked #3 in the Women’s Flyweight rankings.

Should Rose win and challenge for the title, she would have the chance to match some legends like Amanda Nunes, Daniel Cormier, Conor McGregor and Georges St-Pierre in having won two division titles in the UFC.
