Predicted Tottenham Hotspur XI to face Burnley in the Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur produced arguably one of the best performances by a Premier League outfit at the Camp Nou in recent seasons to come way with a 1-1 draw against Barcelona, sealing their berth in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men beat Leicester City 2-0 in their last game and they will be the outright favourites to bag all three points when they play host to Burnley this week.

Burnley registered a 1-0 win against Brighton in their previous outing but the Clarets will have to produce nothing short of a miracle to come away from Wembley with a positive result this weekend.

Team News

Mousa Dembele (ankle), Victor Wanyama (knee), Davinson Sanchez (thigh) and Kieran Trippier (groin) are all ruled out for the weekend clash while Juan Foyth is on his way to recovery from a hamstring problem and will be pushing for a return. Serge Aurier is struggling with a groin strain while Vincent Janssen is a long-term absentee for the Lilywhites.

Formation: 4-1-2-1-2

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Predicted XI

1. Hugo Lloris (GK)

The Frenchman didn’t have too much to do against Barcelona but he has always been a reliable presence between the sticks.

2. Kyle Walker-Peters (RB)

The youngster made a few errors against Barcelona but did a decent job on the whole and he should continue in the absence of Trippier and Aurier.

3. Toby Alderweireld (CB)

The Belgian has been a key figure at the back for the Lilywhites for quite some time now and he should be amongst the starters for this one as well.

4. Jan Vertonghen (CB)

He put in a solid shift in the Champions League tie and Pochettino should hand him another start.
