The Contender Series has seen some great knock outs over the years and Julian Marquez believes he has the best
UFC Fight Night 183 sees Julian Marquez take on Saparbeg Safarov on the main card. Marquez is coming off a loss in the Ultimate Fight 27 Finale but that hasn’t dampened his spirits.
The Cuban Missile Crisis, as Marquez is called, wanted to send a reminder of what he is capable of doing in the Octagon.
The UFC shared one of Marquez’s best knock outs and even suggested this could be the best one in the history of Dana White’s Contender Series.
Marquez was up against Phil Hawes in 2017 and a vicious head kick was all it took for the Missile Crisis to get his UFC career going.

The Series has seen some of the greatest MMA knock outs ever, and Marquez’s certainly ranks as one of the best ever.
The 30-year-old won his UFC debut by defeating Darren Stewart but came unstuck against Alessio Di Chirico.
Looking to get back on the winning trail
Marquez won’t have it easy against Safarov but the Russian is also coming into this clash on the back of a loss.
The 34-year-old lost to Rodolfo Vieira at UFC 248 and has lost three of his last four fights. Safarov is currently 9-3 in his MMA career and he won’t make things easy for Marquez.
28 months I’ve been waiting to say this…. Fight week!! #UFCVegas14

Marquez is coming into this clash as the moderate favourite, and it will be interesting to see who gets the win between them.
The 30-year-old does have that amazing knockout from a while back to speak about, and UFC Fight Night 183 could see more of the same from the Cuban Missile Crisis.
