“29-1…Run Fathead Run” – Tony Ferguson takes a jibe at Khabib Nurmagomedov

Tony Ferguson has hit out at Khabib Nurmagomedov multiple times on social media

Khabib Nurmagomedov, the greatest UFC lightweight of all time, has faced a number of elite opponents during his fighting career.

The now-retired Russian has fought modern-day greats like Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje and dominated each and every one of them.

However, Tony Ferguson is not one among them. In what is dubbed as the ‘Most cursed matchup in UFC history’, ‘El Cucuy’ and Khabib were booked to fight at least 5 times, and every time, due to some reason or the other, the fight has been cancelled.

The most popular cancellation took place at UFC 209. Just a day before the fight, Khabib pulled out because of weight cut related complications.

The UFC countdown video to UFC 209, showed Khabib and friends eating Tiramisu in the lead up to the fight. The Dagestani was largely criticized for this.

Ever since that day, Ferguson calls Khabib a fat head, and very often reminds him on Twitter that he (Khabib) was the main reason for the cancellation of most of the fights.

In a fresh accusation recently, Ferguson mentioned Khabib’s MMA record as 29-1, while calling him a fathead. The tweet was in reference to Khabib mentioning in Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin’ podcast about his mother asking him to never return home, in case he lost in street fights.

Ferguson’s tweet read:

“Well Then, That Explains Everything” 29 – 1. See Fathead Run, Run Fathead Run *bawk bawk*. -Champ -CSO- WhatAPuts # Time4Work.”

Nate Diaz hits out at Khabib Nurmagomedov too

‘The Stockton Slugger’ also hit out at Khabib Nurmagomedov on Twitter.

He wrote:

“That kabobs full of shit.”

Diaz and Khabib have had a couple of run-ins and altercations but have never faced off inside the Octagon.
