The UFC could have another major rivalry on its hands with Sean Strickland shooting back at Colby Covington

Sean Strickland has been saying a lot of things in recent months as he tries to garner attention in the UFC.

The Middleweight is on a great run but his persona outside of the Octagon has caught out many. The American’s latest target seems to be Colby Covington as he slammed the Welterweight for a few comments made during an interview.

Covington was speaking to Sportskeeda and in an interview claimed that he didn’t know who Strickland was. Chaos also didn’t know if Strickland was a guy or a girl, and that didn’t sit well with Tarzan.

Strickland hit out at Covington and brought up Chaos’ affinity to Donald Trump. The Middleweight also posted some rather horrific comments about Covington on social media.

“@ColbyCovMMA running his mouth about me…. It’s nice to see you’re able to use your mouth for something other than sucking trumps c***. Thought you were a professional c*** holster for awhile.”

Sean Strickland and Colby Covington are in great form

It will be interesting to see if Covington responds to these new claims. Covington has regularly brought up his meetings with Trump, and the former interim Welterweight Champion also visited the White House during Trump’s presidency.

Strickland, for his part, has made quite a few controversial statements, and he could be following in the footsteps of Covington.

However, both stars are in great form inside the Octagon. Covington has only lost two fights since 2016 and both came at the hands of the Welterweight Champion, Kamaru Usman.

Strickland, who is ranked #4 in the Middleweight division is on a six-fight winning streak. It seems unlikely that Strickland will face Covington in the future, but should the pair meet, it will be fireworks even before they face off in the Octagon.
