The doctor had to stop the fight after the ear of Ramiz Brahimaj was sliced up and he suffered several injuries
The UFC is home to some of the toughest fighters in the world and they don’t seem to stop even if they pick up severe injuries.
That was on show at Fight Night 182 with Ramiz Brahimaj taking on Max Griffin. In a bad night for Brahimaj, he was hit with two unintentional low blows and then his eye also blew up after a few punches.
Worse was to come for the UFC star as Griffin used an elbow and it connected to the side of his rival’s head.
The ear of Brahimaj was sliced in half and it was dangling horribly as he continued to fight. This isn’t the first time a UFC fighter has seen their ear getting chopped but this has to be one of the most gruesome ones.

Brahimaj continued to battle but the ear was flapping around, and the referee had to stop the fight.
Not the first gruesome injury
The photos are not for the faint-hearted, but injuries like this are commonplace in the promotion. Joanna Jedrzejczyk had her forehead blown up in a title fight against Zhang Weili.
Griffin improved his MMA record to 16 wins and eight losses and this snapped a two-fight losing streak.

Brahimaj, for his part, is now 8-3 in his MMA career and hopefully, he doesn’t need a lot of time to recover from the gruesome ear injury.
This was also Brahimaj’s UFC debut and it is likely he wouldn’t want to remember much of this. There was no update regarding his injury at the time of this writing, but Dana White seemed happy enough to share this picture in the lead up to the main card.
