‘I’m excited’ – Paulo Costa reacts after the press conference between Jake Paul and Hasim Rahman Jr.

Paulo Costa was enraptured by the stem-winding action at the first press conference between Jake Paul and Hasim Rahman Jr.

Amongst the many criticisms that Youtuber turned boxer Jake Paul faces was allegations that he cherry-picks opponents to build up his career. Tommy Fury has the pedigree of boxing in his family history, and the sport runs in his veins. This prompted fans that he will probably be Paul’s biggest test so far. But despite many attempts by the Paul and Fury camp to bring this fight together, the fight has gone back to rack and ruin, leaving the American opponent less. Little did combat fans know that when Jake Paul said ‘Anyone, Any place, Any time’, he actually meant it.

Pullulating ringster Jake Paul will face his toughest test to date when he collides with ‘tough as knuckles’ Hasim Rahman Jr. atop the Showtime boxing pay-per-view (PPV) card scheduled for Sat., Aug. 6, 2022 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City. As for Hasim, he is 12-1 as a pro and coming off a fifth-round technical knockout loss to James McKenzie Morrison last April in Las Vegas.

The first press conference between both the fighters was everything you expected and beyond. From career digs, to issuing threats of tarnishing family legacy, the press conference delivered on all cylinders.

While Jake Paul promised to be a harbinger of doom by claiming to ‘end his family’s legacy’, his rival asseverated that he’ll finish ‘this facade he calls a career’

Thoroughly entertained by the exchange, and thrilled by the prospect of this fight, UFC middleweight fighter Paulo Costa expressed his excitement on Twitter by saying, ‘Im really excited to see this sh*t’

‘You are a nobody’ – Conor McGregor tears into Jake Paul, after the latter claimed that a fight between them is destined to happen

Jake Paul has been on a relentless tirade against UFC president Dana White and MMA superstar Conor McGregor, and had laid out a fight proposal with high stakes in the past. Paul had even expressed his interest to fight the biggest name in the game, McGregor on multiple occasions.

The Youtuber turned boxer has been vocal about the UFC underpaying their fighters, and the lack of long-term medical health care for them. ‘The Problem Child’ despised McGregor for being selfish, urging him to play his part and stand up for his fellow fighters.

In a recent interview on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Paul said that a fight between him and Conor Mcgregor is inevitable, provided the Irish Man returns and wins some fights. He reinstated that it’s important for him to keep winning these fights, and in the end a blockbuster show with two of the biggest names in the game is a massive PPV event.

He said, “I think for me, fighting a couple more times, continuing to knock some people out, and he has to get active again, who knows when that’s gonna happen? I think those two things need to happen, and then at some point, it’s gotta happen,” Paul said. “You know, why not? He’s a businessman, I’m a businessman, and that’s $75 to $100 million for both of us.”

McGregor has been sidelined since UFC 264, owing to a horrific injury in his third fight against Dustin Poirier. McGregor, has been teasing a potential comeback by posting short snippets of his boxing mitt work, and weight lifting. Most recently he posted a series of pictures from his return to the Straight Blast Gym, training MMA.

Reacting to Jake Paul’s interview, McGregor clapped back on Twitter with a witty comeback. He shrugged off Paul’s attempts to lure him into a fight. The ‘Notorious’ one mocked Paul’s performance at the PPV box-office, and called him a ‘nobody’.

He wrote, ‘ you’ve 2 fights and done 70k buys.’

He added, ‘You are a flop, kid. A nobody.’
