Marvin Vettori wasn’t impressed by Paulo Costa and hit out at Israel Adesanya after UFC 253

Israel Adesanya put on a clinic against Paulo Costa at UFC 253 but that didn’t impress Marvin Vettori.

The Italian Dream has hit out at the UFC in recent months over the lack of a fight. Vettori, 27. is 15-4-1 in his MMA career but is on a three-fight win streak.

The Italian’s last loss came at the hands of Adesanya, but this was before the Last Stylebender became the UFC Middleweight champion.

The decision was also split and the Italian has constantly called out Adesanya for a rematch. However, Adesanya has just grown from strength to strength since that win while Vettori has done a pretty good job since that loss.

The Italian again made a promise to win the Middleweight title by the end of next year.

Not impressed by Costa

Costa came into this clash talking a lot of trash, however, the Brazilian was taken to the cleaners by Adesanya.

There was a huge gap in the quality of the stars, and Vettori brought out the flaws in the Brazilian’s plans.

Costa spoke a lot during the clash and mocked Adesanya too. However, he seemed to be a little slow and had no answer for the quickness of Adesanya or the power that the champion possessed.

Vettori brought up the lack of energy from Costa and claimed the head kick in the second round got things done.

He was impressed by Adesanya’s win but promised he was coming for the gold:

Vettori will get his chance to impress as he faces Omari Akhmedov at UFC 256.
