Lauren Murphy couldn’t catch Holly Holm vs Irene Aldana live but she was impressed by the Preacher’s Daughter

Holly Holm put on an excellent showing against Irene Aldana as she defeated her rival convincingly at the latest UFC event.

Holm had defeated Raquel Pennington in her previous fight and dominated her rival. Aldana lost the fight via a unanimous decision and the five-round clash was easily won by the Preacher’s Daughter.

Murphy had spoken highly of Germaine de Randamie’s performance at the same event, however, she finally got a chance to watch Holm in action.

The UFC Flyweight star was impressed by a couple of facets from Holm’s game. It was related to her jiu jitsu and ground game.

“People were saying Holly looked good, that she circled a lot, had more volume…

“But I didn’t hear anyone really talk about her wrestling and ground game??? Her wrestling and Jiu jitsu looked awesome”

Looking for a title shot?

While Murphy has never fought against Holm, she is a former Invicta FC Bantamweight champion. She has since moved to the Flyweight division in the UFC and is on a three-fight win streak.

The 37-year-old is also 13-4 in her MMA career and it will be interesting to see what is next for the American.

Holm, for her part, turned the clock back as she put on a vintage performance. The 38-year-old is a former UFC Bantamweight champion and had recently faced Amanda Nunes for the title at UFC 239.

However, the Lioness easily defeated Holm and kept hold of her title. De Randamie could be another challenger for the Brazilian after the win while Holm could also be in the title scene again.

The 38-year-old certainly looked great in the Octagon and age doesn’t seem to be slowing her down one bit.
