With rumors rife that he would make a comeback, the Eagle put an end to all the speculations after it was confirmed and made official by Dana White on the 18th of March that he had officially retired.

In a recent video he shared on Instagram, a 24-year old Khabib can be seen predicting his own retirement in an interview with a journalist. Talk about visionary!

“My plan is… I am 24. And if I win the belt and I stay undefeated, most likely I’ll leave the sport because it has no end. If I win the title and stay undefeated I’ll retire.”

And he did so as ‘laid-out’, eight years later after beating Justin Gaethje. Quoting the famous words of LeSean McCoy, Khabib retired as an Eagle.
