Khabib Nurmagomedov picked Justin Gaethje as the hardest hitter he has ever faced in his career

It has been almost 10 months since Khabib Nurmagomedov retired from the sport of mixed martial arts.

‘The Eagle of Dagestan’ announced his retirement after beating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in October 2020.

29 fighters tried, but not even one came close to defeating the Dagestani. He retired with a record of 29 wins and 0 losses.

Khabib has currently been coaching and also acting as a mixed martial arts promoter. He recently purchased Eagle Fighting Championships.

In the latest episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, Khabib revealed the hardest hitter he has ever faced.

Khabib named Justin Gaethje, the last opponent he faced, as the hardest hitter he has ever faced.

‘The Eagle’ told Mike Tyson:

“This guy, he hit like truch, you know. Nobody hit harder than Justin Gaethje. His kick, his punch, his left hook, right hook, right uppercut.”

Khabib beat Gaethje that night via. submission in only the second round of the fight, and announced his retirement in the post-fight interview with Jon Anik.

Khabib Nurmagomedov reveals why he attacked Dillon Danis after UFC 229

In the same episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, Khabib revealed why he attacked McGregor’s jiu-jitsu coach Dillon Danis during the post-fight brawl that broke out at UFC 229.

In what was something in the lines of a vintage Tyson, Khabib said:

“Oh, I have to bite his [Danis] heart [Khabib’s thoughts after jumping out of the cage]…I really wanna bite his heart.”
