Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United in a transfer that broke the Internet.

Just when the world thought they had seen it all, when Lionel Messi moved to PSG from his boyhood club Barcelona, CR7’s move to Manu made massive waves across the footballing world.

However, it didn’t happen before a series of dramatic events. Massimiliano Allegri’s decision to keep Ronaldo on the bench during Juventus’ match against Udinese on the 22nd of August, sparked rumors that the Portugal ace wasn’t happy at the Italian club.

A couple of days later news began spreading that Ronaldo might move to Manchester City in a shock move. Manchester United fans in unison began calling their ‘former’ hero, a traitor.

But, in the most unexpected of moments, Ronaldo ditched Manchester City to join Manchester United, returning to the club after 12 years.

Several media outlets revealed that it took a lot of effort from former Manchester United legends and Sir Alex Ferguson himself to convince ‘El Don’ to join United.

At the same time, news of CR7’s agent Jorge Mendes playing his usual game also was doing the rounds.

More recently, UFC lightweight GOAT, Khabib Nurmagomedov who is a big fan of Ronaldo, sprung a surprise after he told RT Sport that the ‘Sultan of Stepover’ had already told him that he was moving to Manchester United.

Speaking to RT Sport, ‘The Eagle’ explained that he was expecting the deal to take place since CR7 had already told the same to him.

Khabib also revealed that Manchester United would suit Ronaldo much better than Juventus did.

“A month ago, he [Cristiano Ronaldo] told me that he was moving to Manchester United. I expected this deal to take place. I think that Manchester United is more suitable for him than Juventus. For me, the move was not a surprise.”
