Henry Cejudo retired from the UFC a while back but is willing to fight Alexander Volkanovski

UFC Flyweight star Kai Kara-France faces a tough clash at UFC 253 against Brandon Royval.

Kara-France is ranked seventh in the Flyweight division and comes into this clash with a 21-8-1 record.

The 27-year-old Kiwi last defeated Tyson Nam but was asked about his former coach Henry Cejudo.

Cejudo had his own team during a season of The Ultimate Fighter. Kara-France was speaking to the Schmo and the topic of Cejudo vs Alexander Volkanovski was brought up.

Cejudo retired from the UFC despite holding the Bantamweight title. However, Triple C was willing to fight Volkanovski if the Aussie put up his UFC Featherweight title.

Kara-France, for his part, has trained with Volkanovski and believed the Aussie would easily dominate Cejudo.

He even warned Cejudo from returning to the UFC and to stay retired:

“Obviously, I am going to back my boy Alex all day. It’s a death wish, Henry trying to call him out. I have trained with both guys on Ultimate Fighter, Henry as my coach and Alex as my teammate.

“Henry doesn’t want this. Stay retired, bro. You are going to get yourself hurt, you are going to get yourself hurt real bad.”

UFC willing to give Cejudo a clash?

While Cejudo and Volkanovski are open to fighting, it is to be seen if the UFC agrees to all this. Cejudo has been calling Volkanovski an overgrown “midget” throughout his appearances on media, and it will be interesting to see what is next for the pair.

Kara-France also had a prediction for the huge main event of UFC 253. Israel Adesanya defends his Middleweight title against Paulo Costa.

Both are undefeated in the UFC but the Kiwi backed the champion into picking up an easy win.

Kara-France believed that Adesanya was going to hurt Costa and make him quit. Costa and Adesanya have built up quite a rivalry in the UFC, and it will finally take off at UFC 253.
