Talks of Jose Aldo finding his championship groove again, in the UFC, have been rife

Jose Aldo turned the clock back at the recently concluded UFC 265. He faced fellow Brazilian, Pedro Munhoz and put on a striking clinic to emerge victorious, via. unanimous decision.

With that win, Aldo consolidated his position as a top-ranked bantamweight (number 5), with a few more wins putting him within reach of the bantamweight title.

Talks of Aldo running back his early 2010s and mid 2015s days began popping up.

In a recent media day interaction with RT Sport, UFC lightweight GOAT Khabib Nurmagomedov was asked about Jose Aldo rising to the top once again.

The Russian denied the same saying that he wasn’t showing any signs of a champion fighter, since he only recently lost to Petr Yan.

He went on to state that Aldo wasn’t having a “second peak”.

Khabib said:

“How’s he showing it? He got beat up when he fought Petr Yan right? A guy wins one fight and everyone starts talking…Let him fight Petr the same way then we can say he’s peaking again. You saw what he did, he closed up and waited for the ref to stop the fight. That shows that you’re not at your peak. If you’re getting hit and you’re conscious and you’re not defending yourself…So, there’s no way of Aldo having a second peak.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov not impressed with the way Mike Tyson presented himself at podcast

Khabib Nurmagomedov, recently featured in Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin’ podcast.

It looks like Khabib did not like the way Tyson presented himself. As he usually is, Tyson was high on weed, and uttered only a few words during the entire interview.

Khabib said:

“No, he didn’t look through me. Overall, I didn’t like the way he looked…We were at his ranch where he hosts his podcasts. I asked him that there’d be no smoking around me but I wasn’t a fan. I liked how Cristiano Ronaldo looked more. He looked like an athlete.”
