Jorge Masvidal isn’t a fan of Joe Biden and hit out at the US President

UFC star Jorge Masvidal continued his attack on the Democrats by calling out US President Joe Biden on social media.

Masvidal, who campaigned for former US President Donald Trump ahead of the 2020 elections, has been critical of Biden ever since the Democrat became the president.

Gamebred has hit out at Biden over the high inflation and fuel prices in America, and he did something similar regarding cannabis arrests.

Masvidal tweeted a screenshot from an outlet, the LA Weekly which claimed that federal cannabis arrests had risen by 25% under the president.

“Guess who ends up hurting the most from this? All my brothers and sisters that don’t look like Joe. This individual said he would decriminalize and make marijuana recreational, he’s done the opposite.”

Biden had promised he would look into decriminalisation and also “mass expungements” for people with prior cannabis convictions. However, America’s oldest cannabis reform organisation, NORML claimed that the 6,606 arrests over cannabis in 2021 was the highest recorded since 2011 when 8,500 were arrested.

Jorge Masvidal looking for a big return fight

Masvidal might be taking shots at Biden, but he has had his own problems in recent months. After his loss to Colby Covington at UFC 272, he attacked Chaos outside a restaurant and was arrested too.

A pre-trial hearing and a trial are set to take place on 17 August and 29 August respectively. Covington has pressed charges and claimed he suffered a brain injury as well.

Masvidal is on a three-fight losing streak after two championship title losses to Kamaru Usman before the defeat to Chaos.

However, he still wants a big fight and called out Conor McGregor during an interview. Masvidal vs. McGregor would be quite a fight, and it would sell a lot of pay-per-views too.

It will be interesting to see who Masvidal fights next, and that could be down to how his trial goes.
